This page points out the five most “significant” known religions. First a brief geographical religious history timetable video review of those five well-known religions. Following that is an important correction to that information which is really a critical understanding for truth seekers.

Correcting The Visual Above
It is an interesting little visual above but only accurate in the dates selected for the beginnings of the group. However, it is misleading relative to the most important thing. The video shows Judaism beginning with Abraham and that is true but there is one CONTINUOUS THREAD of religion or better said of communication from God to man. That thread begins with Adam in the creation story with God laying out the plan for man in Genesis 3.15 ………… that thread consists of Adam, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. It is one religion: The religion of God! This is the clarification mentioned above as there is only one religion, one continuous thread from God. Man has created many different religions, all fragmented and discontinuous. That Godly continuous thread consists of God speaking directly to Adam, Abraham and Moses who would be given the law and finally though Jesus who would bring the New Covenant.
Religions of the World
There are 19 major world religions which are subdivided into a total of 270 large religious groups, and many smaller ones. 34,000 separate Christian groups have been identified in the world. The following is a short list of religions and a simple pie chart of the largest ones. God claims He is not the author of confusion and yet men/women blame God for the pathetic things religion has done and the confusion. Religions are created almost every day and the truth that people need is already there and easy to find.

God’s plan for man is for man to understand there is one God, one religion and the timeline is very simple and missing all the complexities brought by men and women. What a mess mankind has brought to the most important thing in life.

The Religious Beliefs Invented by Men/Women Keep Coming
The number of different things believed religiously is a very large number. Maybe the number of beliefs is best characterized as “a lot” or “countless.”
In order to describe the seemingly never-ending creation of religious beliefs, I will provide an-on-going number of NEW or at least relatively unknown religions at this site. The people typically associated with these new religions are sincere and seeking something, maybe comfort, maybe confirmation of what they currently believe. What you believe religiously may be considered trivial but it is the thing along with your appropriate life-actions that decides your eternity.
The First of these
is not a religion but just the study of religion.
It is described on a website called religious-information.
Religious-information does not promote any religion. I think it could be a “belief” embraced by many who have an interest in religion but not in any organized religion. This website creator represents one of many people who see organized religion as extremely frustrating. Organized religion is indeed very confusing and that leads to rejecting all organized religions simply because of the difficulty in sorting truth from fabrication. It is just as easy to say none are of the truth. So, this is just a “religious” group that analyzes religion but in the process suggests a category called those who believe in God but not organized religion. Thus the dilemma is that whatever is believed they cannot organize without themselves becoming an organized religion. Nonetheless it is indeed another religion, another belief system. This study of religion would seem to be a study of religions with a prime goal of information relative to religion and not seeking the truth. They seem to be seeking tolerance for all beliefs which is a common belief system, nothing new. I include this in the category of “religions” because study is always good and much better than just accepting whatever you are “born into” or have accepted because it made SOME SENSE to you. The truth makes perfect sense and fits together in a perfect manner and perhaps the most significant deceit is getting people to believe there is no ultimate truth. Tolerance of all religions would seem to indicate there is no singular truth and that is the idea of men’s wisdom and in opposition to God’s revelation to man.
