Do Not Fail In Life
DO NOT FAIL IN LIFE
Your life will end in success or failure and you need to know this now so you can make the right choices. Your existence will not end when you die. The world will not help you make the right decisions, just the opposite. The world pulls you towards obtaining all that it offers as a way to be successful. The world is not some inexplicable force that is controlling your decisions. However, the world has its pull as God also has its pull and respectively toward failure or success. Thus, there are two factions from which people will choose. One is to follow God and the only God is the God of the bible, it is a spiritual choice. The other choice is the world and it represents the physical choices a person can make and these things are often sinful. Many (vast majority) of people who claim to be religious never see the seriousness of life that the scriptures clearly teach. Consequently, they fail in life because they never learn, obey and live the truth. Life is not what people think, because the truth comes from God and no place else. The choice is always the same, to either follow God or follow after men and/or women. To THINK you were following God is to fail. To follow God is to succeed. Jesus made this clear and throughout the scriptures doing what seems right (but is not) is to fail (Proverbs 14.12). Jesus differentiated the uselessness of following humankind in relation to success in life.
Matthew 15.9
9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
Specifically, He mentions worship, but regardless if it is worship or obedience to become a Christian or in relation to following the law of Christ in how to live, it is always God’s way or your way (i.e. often the way of the world). If we look at worship, God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must do so in Spirit and truth. That is quite different than just anyone and in any way worshiping God. You need to be IN Christ (in Spirit) and doing worship defined by God (in Truth).
The seriousness of choosing God over the world is seen as God declares that a friend of the world is an enemy of God.
James 4:4
4 ………… Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
God’s creation of the physical world was for the purpose of conducting the test. All of God’s creation is good and purposeful. It is the things of the world that are in opposition to God and these are defined by God as sin. God’s purpose is for you to be successful and that is done by choosing God’s way over the ways of the world. God has a way for you to live in the world without sin. It is a spiritual life beginning with forgiveness of past sins.
Jesus points to this seriousness of life in Mark.
Mark 8.35,36
35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Ultimately, it will be a decision to follow after the world (the seen world) or after the unseen world where God directs you. Again, the things of God can only be known from God and for this reason God has supplied His word. He has delivered it for those who love the truth, since that is whom He will spend eternity. His word makes perfect sense and fits together all things in relation to life and His purpose. Some will see God’s word as foolishness and mock it and consequently God. Others will will search the scriptures to be certain they are true. There will be many who will twist the scriptures to serve their own purposes. Many will also simply ignore anything other than worldly things and live life intensely for all that life has to offer, only to find out the shallowness, brevity and pain of such an existence.
God’s people, those obedient to God’s Son consist of a FEW persons who can see beyond this world. “FEW” is not what God wanted, but as you look over the world, there is little emphasis on God and where there is it is seldom in truth.
2 Peter 3.8,9
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
If God did not want any to perish, why are there only a few? God relinquished His power for life’s test to allow for free will choices – on trial is your character, your love of the truth. God will get who He wants to spend eternity with Him and He knows (because He is God) that there will be FEW. He so intently wants you for heaven that He sacrificed His Son. If you learn the scriptures, you will understand that the rejection of Jesus results in the wrath of God. In effect, your life choices result in the greatest of joy or the greatest of anguish.
God says, He is NOT the author of confusion, but by observation the religions of the world are diverse and clearly (for those who care to know) the inventions of humankind. There can be great devotion to the doctrines of humankind as the “believers” are indoctrinated into thinking they are serving God. There is only one way to know if your service is to God and that is by the word of God. The scriptures even warn that there will be those who believe they are serving God or doing God service when they kill others.
John 16.2
2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
The pull to live for yourself, for worldly goals is so strong that FEW will ever know the truth. Life has its moments, where a person reflects on why they exist and where they may decide to pursue truth in this regard. Unfortunately, there is seldom the follow through needed to reach the truth. Life with its difficulties, with its temptations steps up and quickly that desire for truth can fade away. Yet, we are given an unknown period of time, our lifetime and during that time you can come to know the truth and be certain. There is no greater life than to live your life for Christ and the gospel. That life has the reward that is infinitely greater than anything your worldly existence can offer. Heaven Coach’s appeal is to seek God, seek truth, obey God and live a life of obedience.
What Will It Take For You To Change Your Life
What will it take for you to look at the unseen things as the most important things in your life? God’s word is there for that purpose, that is, to show you with great clarity that life is not about this life, but life is about the soul.
One might say that this page could be more positive and be called, “Many are on the road to success.” Actually, if that were the case “coaching” would not be needed, but the scriptures are clear life is difficult. The things apparently important are not really important. Those things believed to be not important and perhaps not even “real (being unseen)” are critically, eternally important. There is something each person must overcome to be successful and it is a very personal thing. In a sense, it is another way of describing what life is all about. Namely, life is about YOUR battle with sin. Sin is defined by God as an integral part of the test you are undergoing during your lifetime. You will overcome sin or sin will overcome you. It turns out that the only way to overcome sin is to have your sins forgiven and that can only happen when you are obedient to God’s Son. It is obvious, that God’s definition of sin will be troublesome for many, many people. Thus they will choose to deny God because of HIS rules. This is why people will frequently tell me they believe in God, but that God CANNOT be the God of the bible. That God, just does not align with their version of God. Absolutely, nothing is comparable to the bible in terms of the purpose for humankind, in terms of accuracy, in terms of consistency of thought, in terms of the number of authors all with the same purpose, in terms of the historical record, in terms of the evidences, in terms of the fulfillment, in terms of the principles for humankind to live by, in terms of a hundred other things. The scriptures can be critically studied for a lifetime and the result for those who love the truth will be a strengthening of their belief.
Nonetheless, FEW will be interested enough to devote any time to a study of life and truth. After all, they already believe they have the truth and it is a truth that satisfies them and does not interfere with how they want to live. In any case, they do not have the time, because something else is more important, a higher priority. More than likely there are many something else’s more important than the truth about life.
God Expects Humankind To Seek Him And With Great Diligence
Jeremiah 29.13
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
God even points out He is not far from each one of us.
Acts 17.27
27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
God reveals that the reward (heaven) is there for those who seek him and it takes diligence.
Hebrews 11.6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Why has God required humankind to seek Him, of course I am not sure, but from all scripture it is clear God does not want any to fail and He also does not want to spend eternity with the selfish and with those who have no self control and certainly not with the proud. Those people will not seek Him and thus by this means, God will have the people He wants and interestingly it will be the choice of each person. You can choose heaven and be successful in life, but once again this is not the pattern easily observed in the world. It will be difficult to avoid failing in life because the pull of the world and what it offers is powerful. The wise in the ways of God know the world and all it has to offer is temporary.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
